Bombardment

The Motherhouse was destroyed by the Germans in the bombardment on May 13, 1940 and then the Allied aviators who were in fact aiming at the Luxembourg Bridge on August 18, 1944 ; 353 dead among whom were 6 Sisters of Notre Dame. The Sisters had found shelter with the Sisters of St. Julienne on the rue Pépin in Namur.
