In Cuvilly
In the XVIIIth century, Cuvilly belongs to Séchelles domain and benefits from the construction of the road from Flanders, a major axis between Paris and the “French Netherlands,” conquered by Louis XIV. To the traditional agricultural vocation of the village is added, consequently, a new commercial function.
In 1790, Cuvilly counts 567 inhabitants and 355 hectares belonging to the large landowners and to the village residents.
